Breanna

Breanna is our eldest child. She was born in the military hospital of Camp Pendleton, CA. She traveled around with us for about 4 1/2 years before we moved to North Carolina in 1995. She has grown to love the beautiful mountains, rivers, waterfalls, and lakes that are all around us here. Breanna has a beautiful voice that she has glorified God with on our praise team since the age of 13. She owns her own house and has become a promising photographer. You can see some of her work on her Red Door Photography and Studio Facebook page. Breanna has grown into a gorgeous, responsible young woman that her father and mother are very proud of.

Richie

Richie was born in Kansas City, MO in late '94 while we were stationed at the Marine Corps Finance Center. Richie is the spitting-image of his father but has the disposition of his mother. Richie has given much effort toward the Swain County High School Band, but has switched his focus of late to the JROTC. He is on the color guard and rifle drill detachments. (I am elite, I am a Red Beret. - Richie. I totally did this while mom wasn't paying attention. And just saying, my uniform has alot more stuff on it now, the picture up above is from right after I started. I'm now a cadet Master Sergeant and have 6 rows of ribbons plus a medal.)
Our son has inherited his musical genes from the Sneed family line and is a good percussionist, but he prefers to play the bass guitar (which he has taught himself to play).
Richie will be a senior in high school in the fall at the age of 17 having skipped the 7th grade. Correction, i skipped 6th grade and taught myself 7th grade. Geeze my mother is so forgetful.
Don't say that about me. I remember lots of things.

Matti

Matti was born in 1997 the day after our anniversary. Some years that's good for her because she has sort of a birthday month with her parents trying to fit celebrating both events into the same time frame.
Matti may be the most like her father creativity-wise. She is both musical (keyboard and singing) and artistic (various mediums). Her artwork is often too good to be put away so you may find it in sometimes odd places all over the house.
Being a classic middle child and very quiet, Matti has been discribed as "mysterious". I actually agree with this. She is a marvelously unique and wonderful part of this family that has been crafted by God!

Katie

Katie is our third girl, and our fourth child. Though she was planned to be a brother for Richie by her parents, God knew we needed her first!
To find Katie without some sort of reading material in her hands (or at least quickly available), is a rare occasion. She is nearly infamous for her reading habits, being often caught reading when she was supposed to be cleaning her room! All that reading however has given her an excellent vocabulary and possibly given her a wealth of material to draw from when she displays her lightning-fast wit. She is really amazingly funny and nearly has her big brother and mother (occasionally Matti) in tears. She has certainly carved for herself an awesome niche in our family and in our hearts.

Samuel

Samuel is quite a guy. We're still trying to figure him out! He has been a challenge and has taught us alot about ourselves.
Always on the move, Samuel is an adventursome person who explores as much as he can get away with. He is athletic and smart. Samuel can do amazing backflips and frontflips on the trampoline, he is great at soccer and can ride the heck out of his ripstick.
Samuel's dad says he will make a great lawyer someday as he is able to exhaust every angle when pleading his case. If he continues to get such excellent grades in school, the possibilities for what he can become are endless!
